The Best Way to See Traverse City? We’ve Got It.

The weather is beginning to show signs of warming up here in Northern Michigan, and our minds are set on spring and summer. For those of you who’ve visited us during the warmer months, you know firsthand the magic of swims in Lake Michigan, bonfires on the beach, and bike rides along the bay. There’s truly nothing like it!

Over the past couple of months, we’ve been especially focused on the feeling of those bike rides along the bay. We wanted to make that experience easy and accessible for all our guests—which is exactly why we’re now offering the option to add electric bike rentals to any room booking!

Our e-bikes reach speeds of 25 mph and have a battery life of 6 to 8 hours, ensuring you have plenty of time to explore some of the best parts of Northern Michigan. In the spirit of always wanting to add value for our guests while also keeping things affordable, our ebikes are $40 for a half day (four hours) or $60 for a whole day (eight hours). We have four available, so bring your friends!

The Anchor Inn is located just half a mile from the start of the Leelanau Trail, which connects you to fantastic local spots like Farm Club and Gilchrist Farm, and also provides easy access to downtown Traverse City via the TART Trail. The TART Trail (Traverse Area Recreational Trail) is a 10.5-mile paved route that runs through downtown and links up with other area trails, including the Boardman Lake Loop, 3-Mile Trail, and the VASA Pathway. If you already have a summer booking and want to add bikes, just call or email—we’ll make it happen. If you have booked the inn for a wedding stay, you have the e-bikes for no extra charge! We’re super excited to roll out our e-bike rentals and make exploring Northern Michigan even more fun!
